ASLAN, Mr Tumnus and the Beavers were all guests at a day of magic in Wickwar at the weekend.
Peering into the wonderland of Narnia, otherwise known as Wickwar Youth Club which was magically transformed for the fiesta, parents were able to watch their youngsters enjoy one of the most beautiful and imaginative timeless classics of all children's stories.
The Narnia day was dreamed up by leaders of the village's various Sunday schools long before the release of the Hollywood blockbuster film. But the smash hit movie certainly helped advertise the day.
Organiser Caroline Baker said: "We could not have asked for better publicity. It was very successful and the children had a fantastic time."
Forty-two primary schoolchildren attended the event on Saturday and made cardboard models and took part in Narnia-themed quizzes, games and drama workshops.
Teenage fans of the C S Lewis classic The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe were not left out either as eight older children joined in the fun as well making clay models, a video and taking part in quizzes.
Mum-of-four Mrs Baker said: "I read the whole chronicles of Narnia to my children and they absolutely loved it. I am connected with the church and Sunday school and had always wanted to do something based on the books."
Organisers started planning the day back in the summer and their hard work paid off as the youngsters learnt the magic of the classic tale.
Added Mrs Baker: "We are hoping to do something similar again, perhaps even every year. This event definitely sparked the imagination."
