STAR spotters driving through Acton Turville were greeted by a plethora of stars ranging from Harry Potter and even newly-wed Jordan this week.
However, on closer inspection it seemed that something was amiss as the celebrities had swapped their normal residency in trendy London nightclubs for a home in villagers' gardens wearing, what can only be described as, some fruity garments.
Villager Rosemary Griffin shed some light on the mystery celeb sightings.
She explained: "The village hosted a scarecrow hunt and residents dressed up scarecrows as their favourite celebs and displayed them in their gardens."
She added: "Visitors were given a map and clues to who the celebs are and they had to guess who the scarecrows were dressed up as.
"It was lovely seeing so many people enjoying themselves."
There were 12 characters to spot and the map detailed which of the scarecrows could be bought from the village store.
The £700 raised will go towards the village church.
