Top praise for preschool

From the Gazette, first published Friday 4th Mar 2005.

A PRE-SCHOOL in Frampton Cotterell has been awarded the highest accolade by a school inspector.

Crossbow 2 Pre-school was branded "very good" in its recent Ofsted report - the best standard it can achieve.

The nursery, on School Road, had to prove it was above average in six learning categories including knowledge and understanding of the world and Mathematics.

Pre-school leader Pat Grynyer said the result had delighted parents and staff alike.

She added: "This has only come about because of the dedication and enthusiasm of a hard working team.

"The pre-school is fortunate enough to have an excellent supporting committee and parents who show a great interest in all that is going on."
