Gloucester Division One Southmead 12 Frampton Cotterell 19
FRAMPTON took a hard-earned victory at Southmead but coach Reg Hodges was far from happy with the performance.
He said: "We seem to make life difficult for ourselves, we work our socks of to score and then concede immediately."
Winger Tony Williams had an outstanding game as he ran in a brace of tries, the first following a fine break from vice captain Mike Ashwin and the second following a blind side move from skipper Dean van der Morsner.
Young fly-half Matt Lawrence had a mixed day with boot but did convert three penalties to secure the victory.
