FORGET chocolate eggs - Almondsbury had something a lot more dazzling to offer at the weekend.
People keen to learn the delicate art of egg decorating converged on the Old School Hall for a special seminar organised by local members of the Egg Crafters Guild of Great Britain.
Pauline Vice, area representative for the Guild, said the day went very well. "We had 42 people sitting down to learn more about the craft and lots of visitors watching demonstrations," she said. "We are trying to promote the hobby in this area. This event was really a one-off but it was so successful that we plan to do it again next year."
As well as egg decorating demonstrations, the event also featured trade stands selling the necessary materials for the hobby, some of which are not readily available in high street shops.
Further details are available by calling Pauline on 01454 612052.
