FA Cup Third Qualifying Round Replay Mangotsfield United 0 Bromley 1
A SINGLE goal ended Mangotsfield's FA Cup aspirations in a third qualifying round replay.
Mangotsfield had been relieved to hold their Ryman Premier opponents to a 0-0 draw on the Saturday, but they were bitterly disappointed to finally lose out to a late goal.
Mangotsfield had the better of things first half. Gary Warren headed into the net but the effort was offside, while midfielder Ross Casey went close from long range. Bromley keeper Andy Walker also made good saves from Chris Lane and Alex Ball.
The second half was Bromley's though. Barry Gardner fired wide from a golden chance but Bromley gained their reward from an 87th minute corner when Stone headed in from a flick-on.
United manager Martyn Grimshaw commented: "It was a good game. The boys gave everything they had and we created chances but there was a lot of disappointment after that late goal."
